Tarja Joins the 2026 Rock meets Classic Farewell Tour

The curtain is set to fall on one of Europe’s most beloved touring shows. In 2026, Rock meets Classic will embark on its farewell tour, saying a heartfelt “Servus” to fans across seven German cities. Producer Manfred Hertlein is pulling out all the stops, promising an unforgettable final chapter filled with legendary talent and musical highlights.
Headlining the announcement is Tarja Turunen, the symphonic rock icon, who will rejoin the RmC stage after her acclaimed 2024 performance. Tarja brings an unmatched blend of classical training and rock power that fits seamlessly with the RmC concept.
“Tarja and Rock meets Classic are a perfect match,” says producer Manfred Hertlein. “Her 2024 performances were unforgettable, and we’re thrilled to welcome her back for the farewell tour.”
Also returning is guitar legend Michael Schenker (formerly of Scorpions and UFO), who was announced just weeks ago. A true pioneer and inspiration to generations of guitarists, Schenker will deliver a powerful “Best Of UFO” set alongside vocalist Roberto Dimitri Liapakis, featuring timeless classics like “Doctor Doctor”“Lights Out”, and “Rock Bottom.” His groundbreaking style earned him the nickname “German Wunderkind”—a title he continues to live up to.
Adding even more firepower to the lineup is Ronnie Atkins, frontman of Danish hard rock heroes Pretty Maids. Making his RmC debut, Atkins will bring fan favorites such as “Future World” and “Red, Hot and Heavy” to life with the full force of the RmC band and orchestra. Known for their powerful riffs and melodic arrangements, Pretty Maids represent the perfect fusion of heavy rock with symphonic flair.
The Rock meets Classic Farewell Tour 2026 promises to be an epic send-off, combining world-class rock artists with a full symphony orchestra for a one-of-a-kind concert experience.
