Tarja is set to release her latest seasonal masterpiece, “Score for a Dark Christmas,” on December 5th via earMUSIC. This evocative new listening experience brings together the atmospheric and emotionally rich moments from her acclaimed releases Dark Christmas and From Spirits and Ghosts (Score for a Dark Christmas). The tracks have been freshly curated in a definitive running order and are accompanied by striking new artwork.

The album features Tarja’s powerful renditions of “Amazing Grace,” “O Holy Night,” and her own compositions “Dark Christmas” and “Together”. It also includes introspective takes on “Last Christmas,” “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. In total, the album comprises 24 tracks that explore both the shadows and the light of the festive spirit.

To celebrate the release, fans will be able to choose from several formats. These include a limited 2LP Gatefold Edition pressed on black and white marble vinyl, a limited 2CD + Blu-ray Digipak featuring over a 300-minute content, and a digital release for instant access.

The Blu-ray edition offers a rich selection of bonus material. It includes behind-the-scenes making-of videos, the full-length Dark Christmas movie presented in Dolby Atmos, Tarja’s unforgettable 2011 concert at Sibelius Hall with Harus, her classical album Ave Maria En Plein Air in a 5.1 DTS HD mix and rare archival footage curated especially for die-hard fans.
