We are glad to announce the bands that will support Tarja in the March leg of The Shadow Shows 2017

Skinflint – African Heavy Metal hailing from Gaborone, Botswana – Est. 2006


Skinflint is a three piece Heavy Metal band from Gaborone, Botswana founded by Guitarist & Vocalist Giuseppe Sbrana in 2006. Recruiting Kebonye Nkoloso on Bass and Alessandra Sbrana on Drums. They have incorporated elements from African culture with Heavy Metal music, attracting the attention of international media such as CNN, Dutch TV, Swedish National Television, BBC and many more. Their releases Iklwa, Gauna, Dipoko Nyemba, and Chief of the Ghosts pay homage to African spirituality, and mythology, while still playing in the vein of Traditional Heavy Metal, this has been seen as a pioneering example of African Metal. The band has played shows in Southern Africa, Kenya and enjoyed successful tours as far as Sweden, and in recent months has signed up with worldwide agency metalmusicbookings.com – Stay tuned for news of releases & shows coming soon!

My Own Ghost – Metal from Luxembourg


My Own Ghost was founded in 2013 in Luxembourg. The music relies on Julie’s warm and powerful voice and on the musicians’ different backgrounds, ranging from pop to metal, by adding some electronic tweaks. In 2014 they released their debut album ‘Love Kills’ via the Finnish label Secret Entertainment. Since then they have toured in Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy and the UK, having had the opportunity to support bands such as Loudness from Japan and Delain from the Netherlands.
Currently they have finished the recording of their second album, which has been produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (known for his work with HIM, Apocalyptica, a.o.), and mastered by Svante Forsbäck. The album will be released on April 7th, 2017.
